Acupuncturist in Guildford Surrey
Michelle is a highly qualified and fully registered acupuncturist based in Surrey. She graduated from the esteemed College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading back in 2011. The acupuncture degree she completed was endorsed by Kingston University and accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB). Michelle has also pursued specialised postgraduate training in gynaecology, fertility, pregnancy, pain management and facial enhancement acupuncture.
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, Michelle adheres to the organisation’s Codes of Ethics and Safe Practice, which is one of the mandatory requirements for membership. Only fine, single-use, pre-sterilised, disposable needles are used and Michelle follows approved safety procedures. She is also a member of The Acupuncture Fertility Network which is a professional organisation for acupuncturists with advanced training in fertility.
In her practice, Michelle blends traditional acupuncture methods (including 5-Element acupuncture) to address a wide array of physical, mental and emotional symptoms with contemporary approaches such as western medical acupuncture, all focusing on enhancing the overall constitution of a person to promote optimal well-being.
Michelle's journey into acupuncture was, in part, inspired by her diverse educational background, which includes a degree in Mathematics, a Master's degree in Medical Statistics and over a decade of working in western medical research. This background led her to recognise the importance of holistic health beyond the mere physical. Subsequently, she pursued further studies in Anatomy and Physiology, followed by training in Holistic Massage. Working within a complementary health clinic deepened her interest in energy flow within the body and the power of the mind. Having experienced the benefits of acupuncture firsthand, Michelle was motivated to obtain the degree qualification in the hope of sharing these benefits with others.
